Overview
Action RPG developed by Luminous Productions and published by Square Enix. Follows Frey Holland, a young New Yorker transported into the fantasy realm of Athia, wielding magic parkour and elemental spells to defeat the corrupted Tantas.
Impressions & Highlights
- Magic Parkour: The traversal mechanics are easily the standout feature. Flowing through vast open terrains at high speeds using magical sprint, leaps, and grapples feels fluid and responsive on the DualSense controller.
- Spell Combat: Switching dynamically between magic affinities (Purple/Earth, Red/Fire, Blue/Water, Green/Lightning) allows for flashy, high-tempo battle choreography against large hordes of Break-corrupted beasts.
- Visuals & DualSense: Powered by the Luminous Engine, the spell particle effects and atmospheric lighting look striking on PS5, accompanied by detailed haptic feedback for every spell tier.
